  • How do I know if I have a personal injury case?

    Richard will help individuals or families through the medical and legal issues that arise when a person is seriously injured or killed due to the fault of another. While the most common examples of personal injury cases involve car, truck and motorcycle wrecks, he also handles accidents caused by fire, electrocution or unsafe conditions.   • How do I know if I have a workers compensation case?

    Work injuries happen and workers compensation laws require employers to carry insurance in the event of an accident. If you or someone you know have been injured in a work related accident, Mr. Marquez can review your case to advise you concerning the claims process. Additionally, in many instances an injured worker may seek recovery for injuries sustained due to the wrongful actions of a third party or a defective product.  Mr. Marquez has handled many types of cases involving these situations with the final result being a significantly greater recovery than what the existing workers’ compensation provided.

  • Is there a difference between the attention provided to small cases and large settlement cases?

    Richard Marquez truly believes that any case whether large or small deserves equal attention. It is not the victim’s fault that they are facing potentially permanent and disfiguring or life impairing injuries. 

  • Will Mr. Marquez agree to representation in all cases?

    Mr. Marquez will review the facts of your case and if you are available will meet with you to discuss the particulars of your case.  Unfortunately, there are simply those cases where either the facts and/or the law will act to prohibit the client from receiving any type of a recovery.  If after reviewing your case, Mr. Marquez believes that he can help you with your case, he see it through to conclusion and attempt to maximize recovery for your financial, emotional and physical strains.

  • What sets Mr. Marquez apart from larger firms?

    Mr. Marquez is in a small firm principally because he discovered after working in a large firm for several years, that in such a setting he could not interact with clients, nor could he provide the time and attention to be involved in every aspect of the client’s case. You can be certain that Mr. Marquez will be involved in every aspect of your case.

  • How does Richard Marquez communicate with clients?

    Very simply- Meetings/Appointments, United States Mail, phone, email or text messaging. Based on the complexities of each client’s life and his, her or their own technical limitations, Richard, generally uses a blend of all five (5) methods of communication. Again, the intent is keep you as the client fully informed of how your case is progressing.

  • Has Mr. Marquez won any big cases or settlements?

    Mr. Marquez has litigated and and settled multi-million dollar cases. Due to Mr. Marquez’ insistence on maintaining client confidentiality, confidentiality contained in settlement agreements and other court orders, this information will not be shared with a client or potential client.

  • How much will I pay for your services if I have a personal injury or workman compensation claim?

    If you retain Mr. Marquez, you will have no out-of-pocket costs or fees when you hire Mr. Marquez to represent you. He does not charge fees up front. Instead, you will be charged on a contingency fee basis, which means that if you win your case, the lawyer will be entitled to a percentage of your award or recovery, subject to the deduction/ reimbursement of any costs or expenses advanced by Mr. Marquez.
